The Exhibition
This heritage month LMC is partnering with Clubhaus to create an exhibition that questions how heritage is viewed and experienced.
Eye Am Heritage - Same but Different, proposes a shift in how we see cultural heritage.
Rooted in heritage, culture is not one story. As it moves between inheritance and transformation, culture speaks in many tongues, continuously shaping the worlds we inhabit and the selves we become.
Through a range of artistic representations and expressions, the show explores how change, individuality, and history interplay to produce different ways of understanding ourselves, each other, and the world.
In doing so, we advance away from linear sequential timelines and towards parallel realities of the past, the future, and the present - interlinking us all within the larger, collective body of culture. Each life, each perspective, weaving together to form one fabric.
So shift your gaze, clear your lens, and pay attention.

Through a panel discussion, we hope to engage with the ways heritage is conceptualised, experienced, and negotiated through artistic practice and social life.
In shifting our gaze, Eye Am Heritage - Same but Different explores the multiplicity of culture. As our artists reflect on the meaning of culture, we invite you to do the same.
